It's Been A While
But I thought I would pop up to link to Jermaine Dye's monthly splits on the season. After a pathetic .175/.205/313 April, Jermaine has gone:
May: .275/.340/.593 (.933 OPS)
June: .337/.404/.596 (1.000 OPS)
July: .284/.368/.537 (.906 OPS)
And, obviously, the team did pretty well even with his .517 April OPS. FYI, Jermaine's top OPS month over the last three years (2002-2004) has been September, with a .237/.321/.460 mark. Goes to show how poor his last three years have been.
By the way, if you are keeping track (and you have to be at this point), the Sox's record by month:
April: 17-7
May: 18-10
June: 18-7
July: 15-11
July was the worst month by far, and the Sox still played about .600 baseball.
