Might As Well Talk About Crede, Too

Joe Crede has an interesting month-by-month breakdown of his season. In fact, except for a horrible, woeful, Cristian-Guzman-like May, Joe Crede has been a pretty good hitter for the White Sox.

April: .304/.368/.456 (.824 OPS)
May: .155/.211/.286 (.496 OPS)
June: .275/.333/.538 (.871 OPS)
July: .304/.342/.551 (.893 OPS)

If you took April, June, and July as a half season, and translated them into a full season, they look something like this:

.293 AVG 24 HR 76 RBI, with a .293/.343/.509 rate line (.851 OPS).

Joe's never put together an entire season of good hitting before, but the three good months out of four this year are relatively encouraging. If he makes it five out of six by finishing the year strong, the Sox might just go from thinking the third base position is an offensive weakness to thinking that it is an offensive strength.
